Sinewave's recruitment increases!

Sinewave's recruitment is continuing as demand continues to increase. Our goal in 2021/22 is for the business to triple our sales, without compromising the quality delivered to our customers, or the work life balance of our team. That's quite a challenge so we have adopted a three pronged strategy to support it.

We have become people and values lead. We adopt honest transparent feedback sessions within the business asking (and expecting) total feedback. Where we or others can do better we welcome hearing it, and react accordingly.

Secondly we are promoting where we can from within, promoting professional and personal development to support this. This brings valued experience on how we operate, our high standards and values into new management positions and ensure continuity through the business.

Finally we have a mixed recruitment policy. We are bringing in a balance of highly experienced people with a newer generation so we both plan for the longer term as well as being able to deliver now. This blend also gives us some outside experience allowing us to improve and learn from other sectors as well as our own.

This blended approach coupled with an interview process looking at both the person and their skills / qualifications separately is delivering us highly rated and motivated people, into an environment that encourages ownership and engagement. It's never a finished article, more a constant improvement but something we've successfully developed over almost a year.

The most recent recruits, (shown at the top of this article), all joined us this month, and are bolstering our civils, design, administration and people departments. As we move past fifty internal staff we are determined to keep the #TeamSinewave feel and while this gets more challenging the larger we get we are up for the challenge!

Gary Peters, Head of Construction was recruited externally from within the industry while Richard King, Head of Engineering was promoted from within.

Mitchel joined as a junior project manager earlier this year having completed a project management apprenticeship and worked for 2 years within the civil service
