Stand down for safety day September 2021

Every three months Sinewave stands down for the day and the team head to the office for a day of briefings, workshops, toolbox talks and a social where practical.

Our stand down days are a combination of presentation to the whole business and smaller toolbox talks or workshops

This is important for a number of reasons. First it is a chance to update the team collectively on the position of the business, what we have achieved over the past three months, and what we're anticipating over the next three months. An important part of our culture is communication, internally and externally and we share business performance with the team at least quarterly.

Toolbox talks are based on specialist subjects and groups and may include subjects on health and safety, or as we looked at this time new employee benefits.

Secondly we aim to continuously improve our processes, in terms of safety and performance. Updating our team as one on new regulations, changes we have made, and feedback from both customers and colleagues is vital to protecting the future of our team.

As the business grows it's also vital that the newer members of the team bed in alongside their colleagues, get to meet face to face and see how our teams interact within our culture and values. We passed 50 members of staff earlier this year so getting everyone together in one place gets more challenging but is still considered vital.

We believe the growth we have seen in our 6 years is thanks in no small part to our team so continuing to get all together in the name of safety and communication remains in our plans for the future.
