Sandridge Solar Park for Anesco

Sandridge Solar Park has more than 190,000 solar panels covering 200 hectares with a 132 kV substation. It was built in 2016 but requires maintenance to operate at full performance. Sinewave supported Anesco by providing electrical maintenance.

The Technicals

  • Full Intrusive maintenance for 28 substations

  • Secondary Injection testing of 55 protection relays

  • G59 Testing

  • Sheath Testing and label checks across the site

  • Oil sampling of all transformers

  • Civils work

How we approached it

Sinewave conducted fully intrusive maintenance for 28 substations. It carried out secondary injection testing of 55 production relays and G59 testing. In addition, it performed sheath testing and label checks across the site, plus oil sampling of all transformers and civils works. The Sinewave team were on site for more than a week. All work was performed to Anesco’s satisfaction.

The end result

The Sandridge Solar Park will continue to operate at optimal efficiency, and the UK takes another step towards its goal of net zero emissions. This site alone provides enough energy for 11,000 households a year.

It’s a pleasure to work with the team at Sinewave, who support us in providing the highest quality of services for our customers.

Thanks to industry-leading systems, proven working practices and comprehensive maintenance procedures, we can ensure the solar and battery sites we look after continue to operate at optimal efficiency.
