Solar energisation for Sun Works - Jersey

Sun Works was retained to install a Solar Photovoltaic system on the island of Jersey. Sinewave supported Sun Works by completing the electrical work under COVID-19 restrictions and delivering the project under a tight timeframe.

The Technicals

  • 2 x ENA G99 relays

  • Technical resource for energisation

  • Channel Island’s largest solar resource

Solution

Sinewave provided the correct technical resource, installed two ENA G99 electrical relays, and delivered a smooth, hassle-free solution to its client. Having worked in the renewables sector for five years providing design, connection and O&M services, Sinewave was able draw on its considerable skill and experience to energise the island’s largest solar resource.

Benefit

The Channel Islands move one step closer to their goal of providing locally generated renewable energy. Solar Photovoltaic for electricity production represents a temporary bridge until offshore wind and tidal power can make the ultimate difference.

The challenge for us was to ensure the smooth energisation of Jersey’s largest solar installation. The only part of the job that didn’t go smoothly was the sea crossing there.
