Phase two of office refurbishment complete
In May 2021 Sinewave Energy Solutions became Sinewave. A new identity, a new executive team and with huge input from our team new values. We aspire to be a leading ICP in terms of service to our customers, and as a place to work.
One of those values we call #TeamSinewave which to us means putting our people first and working as a team. It lead to a review of our working conditions, initially our Swindon HQ, followed by our fleet of vehicles driven by our engineering teams.
Our workstations were the first to be redesigned earlier in the year with the seating area receiving new desk structures complete with 18x 32" curved monitors, and wireless keyboards and mice. The system connects to anyones laptop via a USB-C and works instantly creating a pleasant work space easy to access for all our team.
Phase 2 included our meeting rooms with two high quality dual screen video conference facilities being created based on Microsoft Teams as the platform to book the rooms as well as the conferencing facility. Both rooms have twin 50" Samsung monitors which enable screen sharing for both Microsoft and Apple devices.
All meeting rooms are all bookable on Teams or via a tablet outside the door.
We also added a chill out area called Rebar which is also being use for small adhoc meetings as well as just a quieter place to relax if that's what's needed. Rebar includes another 65" monitor, seating for six and additional soft seating if our team just want to get away from their desk briefly!
Finally the reception has been refreshed to create a new welcome on arrival to our HQ. This includes more comfortable seating, an illuminated logo and a RFID wifi device to get visitors on our wifi fast.
In parallel to the office refurbishment we started work on renewing our van fleet for our engineers. It is often forgotten that the working environment for engineering staff is their van. The first five vans of the new fleet have now arrived, complete with livery and racking which is designed specifically for the team using the vehicle. The rest will be complete by Spring.
Our next steps include starting works refreshing the upstairs are of the building and a project we have called 'Zoolander' internally. More news to follow!
